In addition to the terms defined in the Land Division Act, Public Act 288 of 1967, being M.C.L. §§ 560.101 et seq., which are hereby incorporated in this chapter, certain other words and terms used herein shall be as defined in this section.
BUILDING LINE. A line indicating the limit beyond which a main wall of a building or structure may not project.
CITY ENGINEER. The City Engineer of the City of Saginaw or his or her duly authorized representative.
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. The Saginaw Comprehensive Plan, or any part or amendments thereof, adopted by the City Planning Commission pursuant to the Michigan Planning Enabling Act, Public Act 33 of 2008, being M.C.L. §§ 125.3801 et seq., as amended.
COORDINATED SYSTEM OF TRAFFICWAYS or TRAFFICWAYS PLAN. The part of the Comprehensive Plan relating to the major street system of the city, showing the general location, character, and extent of major and secondary streets.
DOUBLE FRONTAGE LOT or THROUGH LOT. An interior lot with frontage on two streets.
IMPROVED STREET. A street which has been paved in a continuous stretch to at least one approved outlet.
IMPROVEMENTS. Any or all of the following: street pavements; curb and gutter; sidewalks; driveway approaches; watermains; combined or storm and sanitary sewers; street trees; street signs; and may include walkways or any other items normally considered public improvements.
PUBLIC UTILITY. Any person, firm, corporation, municipal department, board or commission duly authorized to furnish, and furnishing to the public under federal, state, or municipal regulations, electric, gas, steam, communications, telegraph, sewer, or water.
UNIMPROVED STREET. A street wherein sewer and water lines have been constructed, and upon which an approved temporary road surface has been applied in a continuous stretch to at least one approved outlet and is usable at all times of the year.
VICINITY MAP. A map of the immediate area within which the proposed subdivision is to be located.
ZONING REGULATIONS. Ord. D-465 (as codified in Ch. 153 of this title), as amended, or any new zoning regulations which may be hereafter adopted by the City Council and all new ordinances relating to zoning restrictions and districts which may hereafter be adopted under the provisions of the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, Public Act 110 of 2006, being M.C.L. §§ 125.3101 et seq., as amended.
