(A) No person having control or charge of a motor vehicle shall allow such vehicle to stand on any roadway unattended without first effectively setting the brakes thereon and stopping the motor of said vehicle, and when standing upon any grade without turning the front wheels of such vehicle to the curb or side of the roadway.
(B) No person having control or charge of a motor vehicle shall allow such vehicle to stand unattended in any street, alley, or other public place under the control of the city without first locking the ignition and removing the ignition key from the vehicle.
(C) Violation of the provisions of this section shall be punishable as provided in § 72.99.
