(A) No person shall stand or park a vehicle in a roadway other than parallel with the edge of the roadway, headed in the direction of traffic, and with the curbside wheels of the vehicle within 12 inches of the edge of the roadway, except that upon those streets which have been marked or signed for angle parking, vehicles shall be parked at the angle to the curb indicated by such mark or sign.
(B) When parking is permitted in the area between the curb and the sidewalk on paved streets and in the area between the edge of the roadway and the sidewalk on unpaved streets, no persons shall stand or park a vehicle in any such area other than parallel with the curb or edge of the roadway, headed in the direction of traffic, except that on those streets which have been marked or signed for angle parking, vehicles shall be parked at the angle to the curb indicated by such official mark or sign.
(C) Violation of the provisions of this section shall be punishable as provided in § 72.99.
