§ 51.003 PRIVATELY CONSTRUCTED SEWERS.
   (A)   No person shall construct any private sewer main which will be served directly or indirectly by the city sewerage system without first obtaining a written permit from the City Engineer and approval from the Superintendent or the Assistant Superintendent of Maintenance and Service. The fee for such permit shall be $5per lineal foot of each sewer main and in no case shall any such fee be less than$500.
   (B)   No person shall install any sewer connection to any private sewer main which will be served directly or indirectly by the city sewerage system without first obtaining a written permit from the City Engineer. The fee for such permit shall be approved by Council and available in the Office of the City Clerk.
   (C)   No person shall install any sewer extension from a connection of any private sewer main which will be served directly or indirectly by the city sewerage system without first obtaining a written permit from the City Engineer. The fee for such permit shall be approved by City Council and available in the Engineering Office.
   (D)   Failure to obtain the permit shall result in the permit fee being doubled.
   (E)   Failure to obtain the required inspection for approval of the work shall result in a fine, approved by City Council and available in the Engineering Office.
