There is adopted a common seal of this city which shall be kept by the city clerk and used by him officially and which shall be called the seal of the city.
The common seal of the city shall consist of a circular disc one and seven-eighths inches in diameter with a design cut thereon having the words "City of Sacramento Founded in 1849" cut around the outer edge thereof, and showing five sections within an outer circle depicting horticulture and mountains; airplane, covered wagons and pony express rider; factories; miner panning gold on stream, cattle and sheep, pump and hills; and water and rail transportation, inner circle depicting state capitol and dome.
