Pursuant to Chapter 30.03 of Title 30 of the prior city code, which is set forth in Chapter 2.12 of Title 2 of the update of the city code, the city council is authorized to confer citation and arrest authority upon certain city employees, and pursuant to the authority, the council has in fact adopted resolutions conferring citation authority upon various city officials and employees. Pursuant to this chapter, an update of the city code has been adopted, resulting in a reorganization, rechaptering and renumbering of most if not all of the provisions of the prior city code. For purposes of the citation authority conferred upon city officials and employees under Title 30, Chapter 30.03 of the prior city code, which is set forth in Title 2, Chapter 2.12 of the update of the city code, city officials and employees shall have and enjoy citation and arrest authority for violation of the prior city code provisions, as renumbered and amended by the update of the city code adopted pursuant to the ordinance codified in this chapter.
