Subject to the amendments, additions and modifications set forth in the ordinance codified in this chapter, the city code provisions of the document entitled "Sacramento City Code" as compiled, edited and published by the city clerk, with the assistance of the Book Publishing Company, Seattle, Washington, is adopted as an update of the current city code. The document entitled "Sacramento City Code" also includes for reference and convenience the provisions of the Charter of the city of Sacramento. However, the City Charter is a separate and distinct legal document, and is not part of the city code and is not part of the update of the City Code adopted pursuant to the ordinance codified in this chapter.
