The school facilities fee paid to the school districts pursuant to the provisions of this chapter shall be deposited by each receiving school district in a separate special fund created by such school district specifically to hold the revenue generated by such fee. Said collected fees shall be deposited, managed, and maintained pursuant to the provisions of Section 66006 of the Government Code. Moneys within such fund may be used solely for the purposes set forth in Section 18.24.730 of this chapter. In the event the school districts, or any one of them, fail to comply with the requirements of this section, the city shall have the right to institute legal proceedings to compel such compliance.
