The city council may provide by subsequent amendment of this chapter for the clarification of any inconsistency or ambiguity which may arise from Sections 2.124.1520 to 2.124.1580 of this chapter, it being the express intent of the electorate in adopting former (1976) Sections 359 to 366 to insure that the eligible member shall be treated, for purposes of retirement for service, upon his or her death before or after qualification for retirement for service or after such retirement for service, or if such member shall take a deferred retirement, as if he or she had remained in the employ of the city and had not been transferred to the county.
