2.124.1360 Continuation of benefits after death of member retired under Section 2.124.1330 .

   Upon the death of a member who has retained membership in this plan under Section 2.124.1330 of this chapter, after qualification for voluntary service retirement or after retirement for service or after retirement for disability, either one-half of the retirement allowance to which he or she would have been entitled had he or she retired at the time of his or her death or one-half of his or her retirement allowance, as the case may be, shall be continued throughout life or until remarriage, to his or her surviving spouse. The provisions of City Charter Section 396 and Sections 2.124.1280, 2.124.1290 and 2.124.1310 of this chapter, shall be applicable to the allocation or reallocation of said benefits.
