A member of this plan whose membership continues under Section 2.124.850 of this chapter is subject to the same age requirements as apply to other members for service retirement. After the qualification of such member for retirement by attaining the applicable age of voluntary service retirement, he or she shall be entitled to receive a retirement allowance based upon his or her age and service standing to his or her credit at the time of cessation of employment with the city in the same manner as for other members.
