All canopies and walkways shall be provided with the equivalent of not less than one hundred (100) watt electric lights which shall be located not more than twenty-five (25) feet apart and shall adequately light the entire length of the canopy or walkway and connecting ramps to the sidewalk.
When a canopy or walkway is located in or on the public street or alley or located near enough to the edge of the curb to be a hazard to vehicles, red warning lights of not less than one hundred (100) watts shall be placed at each end of the canopy or walkway and additional red lights spaced so that there is not more than fifty (50) feet between such warning lights. Such lights shall be placed on the street side of the canopy or walkway. (Prior code § 9.08.372)
