The director may cause to be accomplished any extra work or service to provide sewer service or storm drain service to a customer if the director deems the work or service reasonably necessary to maintain the health, safety or welfare of the community or to comply with regulatory requirements. The cost of the extra work or service shall be added to the customer's regular billing for the sewer of storm drain service. Except as may be provided otherwise in this chapter, other costs incurred by the city for which the customer is liable under the provisions of this chapter also may be added to the customer's regular billing for the sewer or storm drain service. The foregoing costs may thereafter be collected in the same manner as other utility service charges are collected pursuant to Chapter 13.12 of this code. (Ord. 2005-020 § 2)
