A service connection may be relocated by the department at a customer's request provided that the relocation, in the judgment of the director, is not detrimental to the city sewer system or city storm drain system. Such relocation shall include any modifications necessary to comply with the current connection standards or requirements, and all costs of the relocation shall be borne by the customer. The customer shall pay the cost of the relocation, as determined by the director, prior to connecting the customer's private sewer line or private storm drain line to the relocated service connection. If a service connection is relocated by the city on its own initiative for the convenience or protection of the city sewer system or city storm drain system, the relocation shall be performed at the expense of the city.
