10.24.020   Streets on which commercial vehicles exceeding ten thousand pounds prohibited.
   Whenever a city council resolution designates and describes any street the use of which is prohibited by commercial vehicles exceeding a manufacturer's gross weight rating of ten thousand (10,000) pounds, the city traffic engineer shall erect and maintain appropriate signs on such streets. The provisions of this section shall not apply to passenger buses under the jurisdiction of the public utilities commission.
   When signs are erected on a street giving notice of a weight limit, no person shall drive any vehicle with a weight rating greater than the posted limit on any such street except as otherwise provided in the vehicle code. (Prior code § 25.04.062)
