All electrical equipment, wiring and appliances shall be installed and maintained in a safe manner in accordance with all applicable laws and requirements set forth in Title 15 of this code. All electrical equipment shall be of an approved type.
Where there is electrical power available within three hundred (300) feet of the premises of any building, such building shall be connected to such electrical power. Every habitable room shall contain at least two supplied electric convenience outlets or one such convenience outlet and one supplied electric light fixture. Every water closet compartment, bathroom, laundry room, furnace room, and public hallway shall contain at least one supplied electric light fixture. Every kitchen shall contain at least two appliance outlets. (Prior code § 49.07.702)
