8.100.490   Heating.
   Interior spaces intended for human occupancy shall be provided with active or passive space heating systems capable of maintaining a minimum indoor temperature of sixty-eight (68) degrees Fahrenheit at a point three feet above the floor on the design heating day. Such facilities shall be installed and maintained in a safe condition and in accordance with the California Building and Mechanical Codes and Title 15 of this code, and all other applicable laws. No unvented fuel-burning heater shall be permitted. All heating devices or appliances shall be of an approved type. (Ord. 2009-014 § 2; Ord. 2004-008 § 12; prior code § 49.07.701)
