8.72.020   Permit-Required.
   It is unlawful for any person to use or permit to be used any type of lights commonly designated as "searchlights," for the purpose of advertising or for any other purpose without first securing a separate written permit from the chief of police for each such location at which a searchlight is desired to be used or operated. Violation of this provision is an infraction.
   This section shall not apply to any governmental agency. (Prior code § 35.01.002)
