Every head of a household and every person keeping a boardinghouse or lodginghouse or a hotel in the city shall, if a report has not already been made as provided in Section 8.40.010 of this chapter, forthwith report, in writing, to the health officer the name of every person who is an inmate of his or her home or his or her hotel, whom he or she shall have reason to believe is sick of any disease mentioned in Section 8.40.010 of this chapter, or any contagious or infectious disease, and shall also report the death of any person occurring at his or her house or hotel from any such contagious disease.
