A massage therapy practitioner is eligible for a massage therapy practitioner permit if the person meets and maintains the following qualifications:
A. Possesses a diploma or certificate from a recognized school of massage therapy after completing at least 250 hours of classroom instruction; and
B. Has completed at least 12 hours of continuing education in the practice of massage therapy, during the preceding calendar year, provided by any of the following:
1. A recognized school of massage therapy;
2. The California Board of Registered Nursing; or
3. An accredited college or university. (Ord. 2021-0016 § 26)
