The chief:
A. Shall have control over all firefighting apparatus and shall be responsible for its care and condition;
B. Shall make a report to the city council at its regular monthly meeting as to the condition of the equipment and needs of the fire department;
C. Shall report on recommendations for each suspension of a member of the fire department at the next regular meeting of the city council;
D. Shall be responsible for the proper training and discipline of the members of the fire department; and
E. May suspend any member of the fire department for refusal or neglect to obey orders pending final action by the council on his discharge or retention. (Ord., 4-27-1993)
