§ 153.10 DESIGN STANDARDS AND REQUIREMENTS; BLOCKS.
   (A)   Generally. Blocks shall be laid out with special attention given to the type of use contemplated.
   (B)   Specifically.
      (1)   Intersecting streets shall be laid out at the intervals that block lengths are not more than 800 feet except where, in the opinion of the Planning Board, existing conditions justify a modification of this requirement.
      (2)   Blocks shall have sufficient width to provide for two tiers of lots of appropriate depth, except where otherwise required, to separate residential development from through traffic or nonresidential uses.
      (3)   Pedestrian ways or crosswalks, not less than ten feet in width, shall be provided near the center and entirely across any block 900 feet or more in length or at the end of cul-de-sacs, where deemed essential, in the opinion of the Planning Board, to provide adequate pedestrian circulation or access to schools, shopping areas, churches, parks, playgrounds, transportation, or other similar facilities.
