(A) Golf carts can only operate on public streets during daylight hours, from sunrise to sunset. However, golf carts equipped and registered for nighttime operation can operate from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
(B) Golf cart drivers shall have a valid driver's license and in no case be under age 16.
(C) Golf cart drivers shall stay on the far right of the road and shall yield the right-of-way to overtaking vehicles.
(D) No golf cart may be operated in a careless or reckless manner. No golf cart may be operated at a speed greater than reasonable and prudent for the existing conditions and in no instance at a speed of greater than 20 mph.
(E) The maximum occupancy of a cart traveling on public streets shall be one person per seat. Persons may not ride in or on areas not designed as a seat (e.g., the baggage/storage area that is typical on most golf carts shall not be used as a passenger area).
(F) Golf carts shall be operated in accordance with all applicable state and local laws. Golf carts will be subject to the same right-of-way, maneuvering, and operating guidelines as that apply to standard vehicles, except as otherwise noted herein.
(G) All applicable state laws concerning possession and use of alcoholic beverages or any other intoxicating substances shall also apply to golf cart drivers and passengers.
(H) Seatbelts must be worn by all golf cart drivers and passengers while the golf cart is in motion.
