§ 55.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   DEDICATOR. The person owning or constructing any private utility system being dedicated to the town.
   PERSON. Any individual, firm, company, association, society, corporation, or group.
   UTILITY SYSTEM or UTILITY LINES.
      (1)   Water pipe lines and sewer pipe lines (either or both as determined by the context), and shall include all pipes, valves, valve boxes, hydrants, and other fixtures, equipment, and systems, or both, provided same is located in right-of-way and/or easement.
      (2)   The utility lines dedicated to the town pursuant to this chapter shall include only main distribution lines, valves, hydrants, and other apparatus, fixtures, and equipment forming a part of the lines laid in streets, roads, highways, and alleys or across private property, provided, same is located in a town right-of-way and/or easement, and shall not include lateral lines leading from mains to building connections beyond a town right-of-way and/or easement, and shall not include the water or sewer lines within any residence or other privately owned building.
