§ 33.032  RESIDENCE OF POLICE.
   (A)   Police officers may reside outside the corporate limits of the Village, must reside within a 35- mile radius of the Village Hall the earlier of:
      (1)   15 months after the initial date of employment with the Village; or
      (2)   The successful completion of the officer's probationary period.
   (B)   For purposes of this residency requirement, residency shall be such address where the officer is legally domiciled, evidenced by a demonstrated presence and intent to reside permanently at such address. Factors taken into consideration in the determination of an officer's presence and intent may include, but is not limited to, the address that the officer keeps his or her personal belongings, the amount of non-work time spent at the address, the address where the employee sleeps, and the location where the employee's family resides.
