§ 111.15  DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   CANVASSER.  Any person who travels from place to place within the Village by foot or other conveyance distributing produce samples, advertisements, leaflets, or any item of similar nature or who, for any reason other than private personal activity, contacts citizens of the Village without request, invitation, or appointment.
   PEDDLER. Any person who travels from place to place within the residential areas of the Village by foot or other conveyance, selling for profit or offering for sale any commodity, article, or service and rendering immediate delivery thereof.
   SLOW SIGNAL ARM.  A safety arm that can be extended horizontally from the left side of the truck and which is meant to promote pedestrian safety.
   SOLICITOR.  Any person who travels from place to place within the residential areas of the Village by foot or other conveyance, selling for profit or offering for sale any commodity, article, or service, the delivery of which is not made at the time the sale, subscription, contract, or order is entered into.
   TEMPORARY VENDOR.  Any person engaged in any business for profit who uses, leases, or occupies all or part of any structure or vacant lot within the Village on a temporary basis of not more than 45 days.
   VENDING.  An enclosed motorized second division vehicle in which ice cream, ice milk, frozen dairy products, ice flavored syrup, confection or any food or beverage for human consumption are carried for purposes of retail sale on the streets of the Village.
