§ 92.25  BIKE PATHS AND TRAILS.
   (A)   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      BIKE PATHS.  Any bike and/or pedestrian path and/or trail, including but not limited to the Stone Bridge Trail, the Hononegah Bike Path, the Kin-Wood Bike Path, and any other improved BIKE PATH or trail.
   (B)   The use of bike paths situated within the corporate limits of the Village is limited to pedestrians and operators of nonmotorized cycles, except as follows:  authorized vehicles, and snowmobiles may use the Stone Bridge Trail, Riverside Trail and Kinnstone Trail when the trail is covered with at least 2 inches of snow and/or ice.
   (C)   The use of bike paths is strictly prohibited to those persons using a motorized vehicle whether or not the motor is in operation except those with engines under 10cc displacement or electric powered.  This restriction shall not pertain to law enforcement, Fire Department, EMS personnel, and authorized maintenance personnel acting within the scope of their duties.
   (D)   Neither pedestrians nor those persons operating a cycle on any bike path, or snowmobile on Stone Bridge Trail, Riverside Trail and Kinnstone Trail shall engage in any conduct or act in such a manner as to endanger or be likely to endanger the safety of any persons or property.
   (E)   All persons using any bike path shall enter and leave the path only at street crossings or designated access points.
   (F)   No horses are allowed on the bike paths.
   (G)   Bicycles must yield right-of-way to pedestrians.  Snowmobiles must yield right-of-way to pedestrians on the Stone Bridge Trail, Riverside Trail and Kinnstone Trail.
   (H)   No person shall bring a dog or cat on any bike path unless the dog or cat is leashed and under control at all times.
   (I)   No person shall deposit or leave any garbage, refuse, or other material of any kind on the bike paths.  No person shall litter or suffer or cause the paths to be littered in any way.
   (J)   No alcohol may be possessed or consumed on the bike paths.
   (K)   No person while in the state of intoxication shall utilize the bike paths, or create any disturbance or disorderly conduct therein.
   (L)   The owner of every animal shall remove any accumulation of animal wastes deposited by the animal on the bike paths.
