§ 1-4-15 APPOINTMENTS.
   The Mayor shall nominate and, with the advice and consent of the Council, appoint a City Clerk, City Attorney, Chief of Police and Fire Chief, and such officials as may from time to time be established by action of the Council and such other appointive officers within the powers conferred by the statutes of the State of Montana necessary to carry out the functions of the city.
