§ 96.016 SIGNS AND AWNINGS; SIDEWALK CLEARANCE.
   All signs suspended or hanging from any building out and over any sidewalk shall have a clearance of at least 12 feet over such sidewalk. Wooden awnings or iron bars or rods on which awnings are suspended shall have a clearance of at least eight feet; other awnings in front of stores or business rooms of any sort shall have a sidewalk clearance of at least seven feet. No advertising sign or device shall be placed in or upon any of the streets or alleys.
