(A) The parking space nearest the southwest corner of the Ohio Street and Market Street intersection on the west side of Market Street, and the parking space nearest the southwest corner of Ohio Street and Jefferson Street on the west side of Jefferson Street, are both hereby designated as “Handicapped Parking Only” spaces.
(B) It shall be unlawful for any person to park a motor vehicle which does not have displayed a handicapped persons or disabled veterans placard, in a parking space reserved for handicapped persons vehicle only.
(C) It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly park in a reserved handicapped parking space while displaying a placard to which neither he or she nor his or her passenger is entitled.
(D) PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED PERSONS means a person who has been issued a placard under state law or handicapped registration plate for a motor vehicle.
(E) The reserved handicapped parking spaces shall be reserved by posting immediately adjacent to and visible from the spaces assigned, a sign bearing the official international wheelchair symbol.
(F) Any person violating this schedule will be found guilty of a Class C infraction pursuant to I.C. 5-16-9-5.
(G) This schedule shall be in full force and effect upon passage and approval by the Town Council, upon the posting of the proper signs, and upon legal publication thereof.
