It shall be unlawful for any person to pull, tow, drag or haul any piece of machinery, equipment or other object attached to any tractor, traction engine, truck or other vehicle, along or upon any street or alley within the corporate limits of the town, unless the same is being used for the maintenance or repair of a street or alley in the town; however, this section does not apply to the hauling of any trailer, nor any object loaded upon such trailer, when the trailer is properly mounted on pneumatic tires and is designed for normal use and travel on public streets and highways, unless otherwise specifically restricted by law or ordinance.
