§ 150.99 PENALTY.
   (A)   Any person violating any provision of this chapter for which no specific penalty is prescribed shall be subject to § 10.99 of this code of ordinances.
   (B)   (1)   Any person, firm, or corporation, agent, employee, or contractor of such who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects, or refuses to comply with or who resists enforcement of any provisions of § 150.01 and §§ 150.15 through 150.22 shall, upon conviction, forfeit not less than $25 nor more than $1,000 for each offense, together with the costs of prosecution, and in default of payment of such forfeiture and costs of prosecution shall be imprisoned in the County Jail until said forfeiture and costs are paid, for a period not exceed 30 days for each violation. Each day that a violation continues to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
      (2)   Any person, firm, or corporation, agent, employee, or contractor who commences work requiring a permit on a building, structure, electrical, gas, mechanical, or plumbing system before obtaining the necessary permits shall be subject to a penalty fee equal to the permit fee for the entire project, and not limited to the portion of the project done prior to permit issuance.
