Any person convicted of a violation of any section of this code shall be fined in a sum not to exceed $1,000 for any one offense, excepting any specific section of this code wherein the maximum fine is limited to a lesser amount and said person may be confined in the County Jail for a period of not more than six months (55 ILCS 5/5-1113).
