§ 53.20 REPAIR AND PROTECTION OF WATER PIPES.
The city Public Works Department reserves the right at any time, without notice, to shut off the water supply for repairs, extensions, nonpayment of rates or any other reason the city feels is necessary to protect the city's water system. The city Public Works Department shall not be responsible for any consequent damage, such as bursting of boilers or hot water heaters, the breakage of any pipes, fixtures or appliances, stoppage or interruption of water supply, or for any other inconvenience or other damage resulting from the shutting off of the water. The Department will, however, notify affected consumers in advance whenever possible.
