§ 52.018 TAPPING FEES.
   Tap charges shall be made from each customer prior to connection to the water system as follows:
   (A)   All installations completed by the Water Department will be for one inch taps only and the fee shall be $5,000. Except as stated in division (B) below, no tapping fee shall be incurred when existing infrastructure designed to serve multiple properties is dedicated to, and accepted by, the Water Department, where no installation is completed by the Water Department.
   (B)   For installations larger than one inch, the customer is responsible for all installation and applicable charges including any damages to the water main, meter pit, and/or curb stop. In addition, all installations must be inspected and approved by the Water Department prior to service being started. Any taps larger than one-inch will also pay the fee listed in division (A) to the Water Department.
