§ 52.017 APPLICATION FORM; METER DEPOSITS.
   (A)   An application for water service shall be in the form prescribed by the Waterworks Department.
   (B)   Whenever an application is made for the use of city water by any person or organization, the Superintendent of the Department of Waterworks shall require the person to make a meter deposit with the Clerk-Treasurer of the city.
      (1)   For an application for water service to a single-family residence, the meter deposit shall be $75.
      (2)   On an application for water service for a business or commercial installation, the meter deposit shall be $125.
   (C)   In the event of the default by any consumer in the payment of his water bill, the Waterworks Department shall have the right to charge the same against the meter deposit when the unpaid bill shall equal or exceed the amount of the meter deposit.
