Any person violating any provision of this title shall be fined as set forth in the specific village code section, not to exceed the amount, per violation, as set forth in section 1-4-1 of this code. In any instance where a specific penalty is not set forth for a violation, then the provisions of section 1-4-1 of this code shall be the appropriate guideline. Additionally, any such person convicted of a violation of any provision of this title may, in addition to any fine imposed for the violation, be required to perform a reasonable number of hours of public service which may include picking up litter in public parks or along public highways or maintaining any public facility. Furthermore, any person violating section 9-7-1 of this title may also be imprisoned for a period not to exceed six (6) months or by any combination of fine, public service, and imprisonment.
