8-4-3: CONSTRUCTION:
   (A)   In addition to requirements set forth in this chapter, all driveways shall be constructed in compliance with the specifications and workmanship requirements of sections 8-3-6 and 8-3-7 of this title, so far as they are applicable.
   (B)   Portland cement concrete and exposed aggregate concrete driveways must be at least six inches (6") thick for residential use or seven inches (7") thick if serving commercial or industrial property with a minimum four inch (4") base of gravel, crushed stone or sand.
   (C)   Driveways in residential districts, other than aprons, which must be constructed in accordance with subsection (E) of this section, may also be constructed of natural stone, brick and concrete paver block units specifically manufactured for driveway use, with the manufacturer's specifications provided, and placed in accordance with the provisions of section 8-3-6 of this title, except that the concrete slab thickness shall be a minimum of six inches (6") for driveway construction.
   (D)   Driveways in residential districts, other than aprons, which must be constructed in accordance with subsection (E) of this section, may also be constructed of at least two inch (2") class I, subclass I-11, or equal bituminous concrete, on a four inch (4") base of river washed gravel, crushed stone or sand, as specified in, and in accordance with, current state, department of public works and buildings, division of highways "Standard Specifications For Road And Bridge Construction", and in accordance with rules and regulations for construction of bituminous concrete driveways and parking areas in the village, herein adopted by reference.
   (E)   All driveway aprons in the residential and business zoning districts of the village shall be constructed of exposed aggregate concrete finish or portland cement concrete with a broom finish, from the public sidewalk to the street. No bright or stark white concrete finish or curing agents causing a stark or bright white finish are allowed on driveway aprons. Where concrete with a broom finish is used, Increte Systems Crystal Clear VOC Concrete Sealer or a village-approved equal shall be utilized to ensure that the concrete will have a dull as opposed to bright or stark white appearance.
