7-1-5: OBSTRUCTING SEWERS AND PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY:
No contaminant, garbage, liquid, food matter, byproduct from any manufacturing establishment, contents of any cistern, privy, catch basin or similar waste receptacle, or obstruction of any kind whatsoever, shall be placed, thrown or deposited in any receiving basin or sewer or on any public right of way.
Any person so causing any such obstruction or substance to be placed in any public right of way or placed so as to be carried into such basin or sewer, and any person damaging, breaking or removing any portion of any receiving basin, covering flag, manhole, vent or any part of any sewer or drain, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, in accordance with section 1-2-1.1 of the Illinois municipal code, 65 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/1-2-1.1, and subject to the general penalty provisions of section 1-4-1 of this code.
