The police department shall take the fingerprints of any person who makes a request therefor, upon payment of a reasonable administrative fingerprinting fee, as established by the board of trustees. However, fingerprints taken in preparation of a minor fingerprint identification card pursuant to section 2-17-29 of this chapter are not subject to any additional fee beyond the fee set forth in that section.
