Should any person have in his or her possession, or make or cause to be made, any key or keys of any engine house or fire alarm box, or use or cause to be used any such key, without the consent of the proper authority, every such person shall be subject to a fine, not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each offense.
