The director of emergency services shall be responsible for examining or directing the examination of the condition of the apparatus and facilities of the department and its subdivisions on a weekly basis. In January of each year, the director shall report to the corporate authorities, a complete description and inventory of the equipment of the department and its subdivisions and the condition thereof.
