9-2-14: OBSTRUCTING TRAFFIC:
Pursuant to 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/11-1425, no driver shall enter an intersection or a marked crosswalk or drive onto any railroad grade crossing unless there is sufficient space on the other side of the intersection, crosswalk or railroad grade crossing to accommodate the vehicle he or she is operating without obstructing the passage of other vehicles, pedestrians or railroad trains notwithstanding any traffic control signal indication to proceed. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this section shall be fined, upon conviction, not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for each offense.
