9-1-6: PRACTICE:
The manner of conducting trials, granting continuances and changes of Venue, subpoenaing witnesses, summoning and impaneling juries, and taking appeals, shall be the same as in civil cases before justices of the peace, except that the Appeal shall be taken to the Criminal Court of Cook County.
