8-3-1: DEFINITIONS:
For purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply:
TRUSS: A framed structural unit made up of a group of triangles arranged in a single plane in such a manner that if loads are applied at the points of intersection of the truss members, only compressive or tensile (nonbending) forces will result in the members.
TRUSS CONSTRUCTION: A structure, excluding a residential structure, in which the roof or floor is supported by trusses. (Ord. 2006-25, 9-7-2006)
