Village of River Forest special service area number one has been created by an ordinance entitled: "an ordinance establishing village of River Forest special service area number one and authorizing a transfer tax on real property transactions", adopted April 25, 1983, after a public hearing on October 25, 1982, and November 8, 1982, and effective as of June 1, 1983, as amended May 9, 1983, to be effective May 9, 1983. No petition was filed opposing the special service area and transfer tax which complied with 35 Illinois Compiled Statutes 235/9. Said special service area number one consists of the territory described in the ordinance aforesaid. The village is now authorized to impose a transfer tax on the sale of real estate and to provide for zoning inspections. (Ord. 2119, 5-9-1983, eff. 7-1-1983)
