Village of River Forest special service area number one is established to provide special municipal services to said area in addition to services provided in the village generally. Included in said purposes shall be the strict enforcement of the zoning code by inspections for and the issuance of zoning certificates of occupancy. To pay for such services, effective May 1, 2003, a transfer tax in the amount of one dollar per each one thousand dollars of the sale price is authorized to be imposed on the seller of real estate located within the special service area on and after the effective date hereof. Said tax shall be in addition to all other taxes provided by law and shall be imposed pursuant to applicable law. (Ord. 3020, 4-14-2003)
