8-1-10: SPECIAL POLICE, AUXILIARY POLICE:
   A.   Salaried Firemen: All regularly salaried members of the fire department of the village are hereby constituted conservators of the peace in accordance with 65 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/3-9-4. Same shall not, however, receive any additional compensation for such services.
   B.   Special Police: With the approval of the president and board, the chief of police may, on the application of any person showing the necessity therefor, appoint any number of regular police officers or special police to do special duty at any fixed place within the village at the expense of the person or persons by whom the application was made.
   C.   Auxiliary Police: The provisions of 65 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/3-6-5, are adopted by reference. All regularly salaried administrative service officers are hereby constituted auxiliary police officers. They shall not, however, receive any additional compensation for such services. (1981 Code)
