6-7-2: WORK CONDUCTED OUTDOORS PROHIBITED:
It shall be unlawful for any person to conduct any outdoor work not requiring a Village- issued permit involving the construction or repair of any building or structure, or for any person to conduct any mechanized landscaping activity anywhere in the village except between the hours of seven o'clock A.M. and six o'clock P.M. Monday through Friday, or between the hours of eight o'clock A.M. and five o'clock P.M. on Saturday, and nine o'clock A.M. and five o'clock P.M. on Sundays. Any person performing outdoor work under a Village-issued permit shall only be allowed to perform said contracting work during the hours listed in section 3-3-7 of this code.
No person shall engage in any work covered by this section at times other than those set forth above unless a permit for such work has first been issued. Application for such permits shall be made in writing to the director of public works, and shall state the name of the applicant and his address, the location of the proposed work, and the reason for seeking a permit to do such work at times other than those set forth above, as well as the estimated time of the proposed operations. No such special permit shall be issued excepting where the public welfare will be enhanced by such issuance or will be harmed by failure to perform at the time indicated. (Ord. 3437, 6-18-2012; amd.
