1-14-4: QUALIFY FOR OFFICE:

No officer shall enter upon the duties of his office until he has given bond as required by this chapter, and if he shall not take oath and present such bond to the Village Clerk within ten days after notification by the Clerk of his election or appointment, his office shall be deemed vacant. (1981 Code)
